Alfa Romeo - Production cars from 1910, by Stefano d'Amico & Maurizio Tabucchi.
Published by Giorgio Nada in the late 1990s, this prestigious book is dedicated to the production cars of one of the most glorious Italian car-makers: Alfa Romeo. Maurizio Tabucchi and Stefano d'Amico, two of the finest connaisseurs of Alfa history, performed a titanic feat: the compilation of an annotated catalogue of all models produced by the Milanese brand from its beginnings till 1996. The first edition ended with drawings of the soon-to-be-released 156. "Alfa Romeo - Production cars from 1910", the natural continuation of such massive endeavour, was released exactly ten years later. During this long time-lapse not only did the authors collect material for an extensive update, they also revised and corrected the information contained in the previous book in the light of new findings. Like the previous work, this edition is sold in a two-volume box-set. After a few introductory chapters retracing Alfa history and describing the different chassis and colour range of each model, the first volume illustrates Alfa Romeo production from the very first car, the 24 HP released in 1910, to the 2600 De Luxe, produced in 1965-1966, with special attention given to inspired models like the 6C 1500, 1750, 2500 and the unforgettable 1900 and Giulietta (all versions). Every model is accompanied by a detailed technical sheet, plenty of b/w and colour pictures, the available colour range and, above all, the chassis numbers. More recent but equally celebrated models like the Giulia (in its many editions), Alfetta, Alfasud, Giulietta, 75 and 164 are featured in the second volume that covers the latest production: from the 156 to the 8C Competizione, with ample space given to the 166, 147, Gt, 159, Brera and Spider. The revision and update of this titanic work of love was made possible by the contribution of Alfa Romeo that offered the invaluable help of its Historic Car department. "Alfa Romeo - Production Cars from 1910" also enjoys the endorsement of R.I.A.R. (Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo). A must-read for all the Alfa Romeo history enthusiasts.

During the R.I.A.R. year-end meeting a prestigious book was presented and offered to our members, a book retracing the eventful history of our club since its foundation in 1962. Edited by the R.I.A.R. President Stefano d'Amico, "Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo 1962 - 2004... un mito che continua" tells, mostly in pictures, the exciting story of an enduring passion born in Rome in 1962 in what can be seen as a hymn to Alfa Romeo. This book, produced under the aegis of the Italian Prime Minister's Office and of the Ministry for Cultural Assets and Activities, was distributed exclusively to R.I.A.R. members and friends.
